MARINERS-WORLD.COM - What offers this Portal?
This site was founded in 2001 and became a dynamic portal in 2004 in german language. Already thousands of german mariners met here. Since 2009 this site is now international, translated into english, multilungual with german. Most of our content is still in german language for this reason. And we are always looking for good international administrators.

A PORTAL is a dynamic site: Every registered member can participate and add or improve the content here!! The maker of this portal, the administrators, consider this site as a hobby, an interesting non-paid 'job', just for fun and information exchange.
We are targeting all people, who are in business in the maritime industry, especially mariners, seafarers, masters, mates, but also all staff on shore in ship owners' companies, ship yards, charterers, cargo, ...
We try to change informations and experiences to improve our jobs, the safety, efficiency but also the difficult life of mariners for example. A lot of funny and productive conversations have been seen here for example students or greenhorns meeting with "silverback salts". The forum can be used as an entertaining (but informing) tool as well as social and political motivated hot spot (if respect for all sides is guaranteed!).
